Find Out All About The Love Tutoring Festival

We interviewed Ludo Millar about the LOVE TUTORING FESTIVAL. From this interview we are delighted to share all the details about the upcoming online event. It’s the first of it’s kind and offers workshops and accredited CPD. In listening to the best in their field it can not  be missed! Open to all tutors and lots of  great content to be freely shared with you. Do check out  what all the excitement is all about!

In a break from our usual blog style, this new blog is an interview with Ludo Millar, Chief Marketing Officer of Qualified Tutor, an organisation that looks to bring together tutors from around the world to inspire, educate and connect dedicated professionals aiming to increase aspiration and achievement of people they work with

CVT QUESTION-What is the Love Tutoring Festival? Why has it been set up & who by?

Ludo: The Love Tutoring Festival will bring together tutors, tutor-support services, teachers, educationalists, coaches and entrepreneurs from around the world (genuinely, we have all 6 continents represented!). Across 5 days of online events, ranging from expert demonstrations to participant-led workshops to keynote presentations from experts and thought-leaders in the field, we aim to give tutors of all levels and ages the opportunity to meet, connect, contribute, learn and leave with a sense of fulfilment and renewed optimism. The Festival was borne out of a sense of duty to serve tutors. This year, our profession has been more relied upon than ever. Parents have turned to tutors to support
remote learning. In many cases, students have also relied on tutors to support their mental health and wellbeing. Here at Qualified Tutor, we decided that, amongst the flurry of other festivals (mostly music and arts) being organised for this summer, tutors weren’t going to miss out.The Themes for each day fell into place very neatly. We begin with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) & Mental Health on the Monday because this is central to the safety and support for both tutors and students in today’s tutoring industry. And finally, we build towards a new global initiative to celebrate the work of tutors:World Tutors’ Day. On Friday 2nd July, the final day of the Festival, we will be hosting events that aim to honour the work that tutors do, both across the days of the Festival but also every single day.

CVT Question : What does the Festival Do To celebrate World Tutors Day, 2021?

Ludo:World Tutors’ Day is tied in with the final day of the Festival, Friday 2nd July. Throughout the day, we will be hosting events that aim to honour the work that tutors do, both across the days of the Festival but also every single day.

World Tutors’ Day is not a one-off. This is an idea that may already be beyond Qualified Tutor – we’ve launched an open-access thank your tutor form at worldtutorsday.org that allows anyone in the world to leave a special thank you note to their tutor(s).

But we want you to be more involved than that -this is open to Cardiff & Vale Tutors and all Tutors.

Over the 24 hours, we will be able to log thousands of hours of tutoring happening across the globe, demonstrating the international nature of tutoring in today’s industry. Be part of something special and something truly global.

The Festival is a 5 day event culminating in World Tutors Day on Friday. 2nd July.
