From Dreading Maths to Asking When the Next Session Is!

What I really like about Cardiff and Vale Tutors is that you can almost tailor-make your tutoring experience. The website is really easy to use—you simply put in what you’re looking for and they match you with tutors who are ideally suited to your child’s needs.

In some cases, you might have to wait a little longer, particularly if you’re looking for face-to-face tutoring, but if it means finding the right tutor for your child, then it’s definitely worth the wait.  Communication from the team has also been really good throughout, which makes the whole process feel straightforward and reassuring.

We honestly couldn’t be happier with Tom as Dewi’s maths tutor. From the very beginning, he has taken the time to really get to know Dewi, understand how he learns and, most importantly, what he needs in order to focus and engage.
Dewi has absolutely loved his first two sessions and is already asking when his next one is — which, as parents, we never thought we’d say about sitting down to do maths! Tom has managed to make maths something Dewi actually enjoys, and that is a huge achievement in itself.
We’ve already seen a real boost in Dewi’s confidence, and Tom’s understanding of what makes him tick has been such a relief for us. He has a lovely way of working with Dewi and clearly sees the child behind the learning, rather than just focusing on the maths.
We’re so pleased to have found Tom and are really excited to see how Dewi continues to develop.
